2025 Holiday Challenge for Marion Polk Food Share
Starting on Wednesday, Nov. 12th through Christmas Eve Dec. 24th
Pioneer Trust Bank is holding a Holiday Challenge for both
customers and employees to help our neighbors in need.
Every week we will be asking for a different donation of one of Marion Polk Food Share’s “Most Wanted Items”; these are food items which make the biggest impact in the pantry:
- Week 1 November 12th – 18th Most Wanted Item: Shelf- Stable Dairy Products. Powdered Milk, evaporated milk, and shelf-stable creamers; all are staple needs for households with children.
- Week 2 November 19th – 25th Most Wanted Item: Oats or Cereal.
Instant or Rolled, Fruit Loops or Cheerios, all varieties would be appreciated!
- Week 3 November 26th – December 2nd Most Wanted Item: Pet Food.
Dog, cat, goldfish, or gerbil; whatever the pet, they are part of the family too! All contributions are gratefully accepted.
- Week 4 December 3rd – 9th Most Wanted Item: Shelf-Stable Fruit.
Peaches, pears, pineapple or all mixed together in fruit cocktail. Something sweet and healthy is always a win-win!
- Week 5 December 10th – 16th Most Wanted Item:
Tuna is a healthy source of protein and makes a great casserole! A can of chicken can always be substituted if you’re not a fan.
- Week 6 December 16th – 24th Most Wanted Item: Peanut Butter.
According to Google AI, Peanut Butter is the #1 most requested item at a food bank because it’s nutritious and provides essential protein. It tastes pretty good too! Also toss in a jar of jelly if you’re feeling generous!
Participants will receive a different holiday ornament each week, with a special ornament for those that complete all 6 weeks in thanks of your generosity!
